I’m a designer with a passion for creating well-researched and user-oriented products.
Case Studies
A redesigned and conceptualized version of Meditation Wise for mobile apps. Implemented a User Experience Process involving user research methods - usability testing, creating personas, user flows, SWOT analysis, content models, and more - to construct an interactive mobile UI.
Using principles of Cognition, Affect (emotion), Credibility, and Visual Layout, a case study evaluation was conducted of Jung Foundation's website.
This project is an in-depth analysis of the usability of the Buckminster Fuller Institute website. In this case study we - Taylor Cole, Shirad Rahim, and me (Uma) - analyzed the usability of the website through a test created and administered using Loop 11.
Other Projects
At New York University, I took a course called 'The Science of Happiness'. I was fascinated by the subject and what we learned. So I created a webpage for students - using HTML, CSS, and Javascript (uploaded to Github) - to have access to the course materials all in one place with some additional fun.
Interactive storytelling is the foundation of any game design. I created one with just choices that lead your character through a story using Twine, an open-source platform to create games.
About Me
For over five years, I have studied and practiced working with users and products to coalesce the needs of both. I aim to deliver with attention to detail and diligence.
Sincerely, Uma
